Army Gallerries

Schwarzfalke Flugzeugabsturz

Here's some pictures from a VSF game I ran for Conquest Sacramento. Prussian forces push into a Martian occupied ruin to rescue the crew of a downed air launch.

THE SITUATION

An experimental Prussian liftwood ship has been shot down and crashed in the middle of the ruins of an ancient Martian city. The advanced and secret nature of the ship and its components require that it be recovered or destroyed before it can be examined by engineers from another country. The craft carried a crew of 5 sailors and 1 Officer, all of whom survived with moderate injuries. At the beginning of play, Prussian ground troops are in the immediate vicinity, trying to make their way to secure the crash site and, once there, signal their location to the nearby relief column. What happens from there is up to the players and the dice.

The ruins lie on the edge of a raging battle between Prussian forces and a joint Heliumite and Thark army. Led by the American, John Carter, the Martians, have been very busy pursuing a guerilla war against the Prussians for some time now. Scouting reports indicate that the ruins are in the path of the Barsoomian army’s withdrawal route and will soon be swarming with Martian, both Red and Green.

THE MISSION

The Prussians must move through several blocks of the ruined city’s streets in order to get to the wrecked airship and rescue the crew. Once there, they must wait for a ride out from the relief column that is headed in.
